Description: Zebra-stripe appearance is due to the fact that the heartwood is a light golden-yellow with narrow veining or streaks of dark brown to black. Has an interlocking grain and produces alternating hard and soft grained material, has a lustrous surface and coarse texture. (46 lb / ft3)
Working Properties: Generally more stable in the quarter sawn, Must be glued with care and should be treated with clear filler before polishing. Finishes well when sanded.
