Turning Blanks

With a variety of sizes, these rectangular wood blocks can be used to make bowls, vessels, wine stoppers, peppermills, table legs, spindles, and more. Turning blanks are typically cut with the grain going across the face so it can be mounted perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The surface condition of wood blanks may be rough and/or wax coated. They may not be perfectly square and could vary slightly in length/width/thickness.

Turning stock is available in a variety of sizes:

2” x 4” x 4”
2” x 6” x 6”
3” x 6” x 6”
3” x 8” x 8”

Turning stock for spindles is available as well:

1” x 1” x 12”
1.5” x 1.5” x 6” or 12” or 24”
2” x 2” x or 12” or 24” or 36”
3” x 3” x 12” or 36”
