Discription: Heartwood is a dark-brown color that closely resembles Wenge (very closely related), sapwood is a white color. Fairly coarse textured with a rather straight grain (50lbs/ft3)
Working Properties: Somewhat hard to work due to its density and fibrous character. Has a moderate blunting effect Tools should be kept sharp to insure a very high quality finish. Pre-boring is recommended before screwing or nailing.
